Representing the St. Mary's County Licensee since 1953

If your business is located in St. Mary's  County, you can join MSLBA through your local affiliate, the St. Mary's County Licensed Beverage Association (SMCLBA).

SMCLBA  represents alcohol beverage license retailers, including  taverns, restaurants, package liquor stores, hotels, bowling alleys and fraternal clubs.  When you join us, your dues include membership in our state affiliate,  the Maryland State Licensed Beverage Association (MSLBA) and our national affiliate, the American Beverage Licensees (ABL).

OUR PURPOSE:

SMCLBA is a non-profit trade organization, formed in on January 14, 1953 in Mechanicsville,  to protect and to preserve the interests of St. Mary's County alcohol beverage retailers.

LEGISLATIVE:

SMCLBA monitors the issuance of new licenses and transferred licenses in St. Mary's County by our local liquor board and stays on top of local issues by having representation at every liquor board meeting.  Each year, while the legislature is in session in Annapolis, we actively review proposed legislation and represent our members on the MSLBA Legislative Committee, which meets weekly during the session.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS:

SMCLBA has been active in the community through donations to the Christmas in April Program, the Toys for Tots Program and the local food kitchens. Additionally, SMCLBA has worked with the Tri-County Council Designated Driver Program.
